Exposure

Poem

Hot limbs, tangled
the lies we tell, strangled

the freedom of youth
we can’t escape

cracks on faces
the lines that don’t dissolve

Sorry Sugar,
those deeds that won’t absolve

wind in the hair
sand in the wind

light on odd shapes
lives distorted
in a flash
