Vans gotta do

A quadrille poem

Life goes off track
veering, careening
sent round the bend
losing its meaning

outta shape
a beaten up banger
watching boots
gather dust on the hanger

Remember;

when you’re feeling blue
there’s always somewhere new …
a vans gotta do
what a vans gotta do.

What is life without community? I would love to connect with other nicecissists out there. Reach out, let me know what you think in the comments, and of course, give me a follow for more – nice!

    1. I believe so. Being free to roam – I feel it’s a basic instinct, a stowaway from our hunter gatherer days, most have buried beneath. There’s little more liberating, than to know you can go anywhere.

      Thank you for your comment.

  1. Well…..first I must say, I love the idea of “nicecissists “. I have always been a positive person….my daughter once said to me, “Mom, every movie can’t be The Sound of Music!” 🙂 And I always say, “I’ve been rejuvenated for 8 years now.” Never say “retired”.
As to your poem….you made me smile! A van’s gotta do what a van’s gotta do! LOVE it!
Thanks so much for posting to the prompt.
